What will happen at the event?
On 29 November, the climate march “Tillsammans för klimatet” (Together for the Climate) will take place in Uppsala.

This climate march will mark the start of COP 21, the United Nations’ climate negotiations in Paris. The purpose of the march is to put pressure on the world’s leaders to properly commit to a sustainable and fair future. The climate march in Uppsala is part of a global project that will see millions of people making their voices heard for the sake of the climate. As of today, 1500 climate marches are arranged in over 170 countries worldwide. Be there and be part of the world’s biggest climate mobilization!

Practical information:
- Starting point: Main University Building - Biskopsgatan 3
- THEME: GREEN and/or PURPLE (put on your greenest/most purple outfit and show the politicians that you also care about the climate issue)

The climate march is arranged by Fossil Free Uppsala, Klimataktion, Naturskyddsföreningen Uppsala, CEMUS Roots, Jordens Vänner, Uppsala Cykelförening, Greenpeace Uppsala lokalgrupp, Djurens Rätt Uppsala Lokalgrupp, Latinamerikagrupperna mfl. under the name: Uppsala klimat 2015.

Here are some examples on how you can be engaged:
1. Spread the word! Share the event, invite your Facebook friends to the event. Raise awareness of the climate challenge we all face and of the global peoples’ climate march on the 29th of November.
2. You can volunteer! All the work to arrange the event is done on a voluntary basis, and we need more volunteers.
3. Sign up with your group or organisation to be a part of the march.
4. Help out putting up posters and hand out flyers.
